Jakarta trials new traffic scheme to tackle congestion

Under the new system, vehicles with licence plates ending in odd numbers have access to Jakarta’s major thoroughfares at rush hour on odd-numbered dates of the month, while those with even-numbered plates can enter only on even-numbered dates.
